Interior Minister Christophe Castaner announced Wednesday, on the occasion of the presentation of the plan on immigration, the dismantling of all migrant camps in northeastern Paris before the end of the year. The one located Porte de la Chapelle, one of the most important in the capital, must be dismantled Thursday late morning.

In this camp live 1,500 people - mostly men -, massed in tents, stuck on the smallest platform, between the ring road and the A1 motorway.

This type of evacuation has become routine for local residents. "In five years, there have been at least ten or fifteen evacuations," reports one of them. Associations have already passed under bridges and between tents to inform refugees of future evacuation. They evoke the presence of 600 policemen to cordon off the area.
